Job Scope and Responsibilities:
The Associate Research Editor’s primary function is to ensure the written quality of IDC’s research documents in English, and will also cover the following tasks:
· Proofreading, language editing, and formatting of IDC documents
· Data checking and analysis and ensuring data integrity
· Administrative and posting-editing feedback to analysts
· Provide training to staff when necessary, train new analysts on editing and the IDC Template, and answer questions staff may have about the IDC Template, English usage, and writing
Requirements:
· With at least 1-year experience working for equivalent publishing sector specializing in editing, data checking, and proof reading, or related area
· Minimum university or college degree: Communication or English Language degrees are advantageous
· Numerically literate, patient, meticulous, and disciplined; solid analytics and detail-driven
· With strong written and verbal fluency in English
· Copes well under pressure, particularly with deadline and multiple competing demands
· MS Excel, Word, and Power-Point intermediate level experience required
· Well organized and can manage time and workflow effectively
· Ability to handle pressure situations and have a positive mindset toward achieving objective of research projects
· Attention to detail, both qualitative and quantitative, and a strong self motivated, independent work ethics
· Knowledge of information technology and basic business dynamics is advantageous
