Apni Pathshala Foundation art and essay writing competition is organized by the Apni Pathshala Foundation . The event aims to promote & increase imagination and creativity among the children, in accordance with our vision of a happy healthy and creative child
Theme: The theme of the Arts competition is “India, as I see through my eyes”. If you are a child aged between 5 - 17, you are invited to think how you feel about your country and translate your feelings about your country either in the form of an essay or as a painting .
Eligibility Criteria:
(i) Participants must be between 5 – 17 years of age.
(ii) The competition is open to all children.
Guidelines for Entries:
(i) Submit an original drawing/painting or a essay categories mentioned below:
GROUP drawing/painting Essay Writing
A Nursery - Upper KG Not eligible
B Standard 1ST – 3RD Not eligible
C Standard 4th – 7th Standard 4th – 7th
D Standard 8th – 10th Standard 8th – 10th
E Standard 11th – 12th Standard 11th – 12th
(ii) Participants are free to use a drawing medium of their choice (pencil, colors, pastels, crayons, ink, etc.).
(iii) Each entry should be original, entirely done individually & should not have been previously submitted to any other competition or exhibited in any other forum.
(iv) The essay can be neatly hand written or typed and the word count should not be more than 500 words.
(iv) Complete the form in your own hand writing along with your parents /guardians signature. Attach a copy of the form with the painting /essay sheet.
(x) All entrants not complying with the rules will be disqualified. The organizer’s decision shall be final and binding.
(xi) The organizers shall not be responsible for any loss/damage of an entry during transit.
Adjudication:
The submissions will be judged on the basis of
1. Originality, creativity and idea of expression .
2. Relevance to the Topic
Selection processes: A Panel of judges shall select the three most outstanding art work/essays submitted for each above mentioned group.
Closing Date: Entry should be emailed at ngoapnipathshala@gmail.com or submitted by post to : S299 (GF) Uppal South End Sohna Behind Omaxe Plaza Sohna Road , Gurgaon Haryana-by 221001 by 28th August 2011.
Prize & Certificate of Merit: Three selected finalists in each category will receive a Medal & Certificate of Merit.
Results: The winners will be announced/notified on 30 September 2011.
Exhibition of Winning Entries: Grade-A entries shall be displayed on our website www.apnipathshala.com. throughout the year and will also be published in our digital magazine PRAYAS.
Handling of the Entries & Intellectual Property: Entries will not be returned. All entries shall remain the property & copyright of Apni Pathshala Foundation and could be used or reproduced by the Apni Pathshala Foundation for public education & awareness activities & any other purpose as deemed appropriate by the Apni Pathshala Foundation board.
