Booktique Short Story Writing Competition | Singapore

The Booktique Short Fiction Challenge is the inaugural short story competition organised by StarHub to promote creative writing to aspiring writers. Open for submissions from 1st June to 15th July 2013,contestants may submit their manuscripts of 2,000 words to booktique@starhub.com. The stories may be of any genre but must revolve around the picture below.


RULES:
  • The contestant must be a Singapore resident and aged 13 and above.
  • The contestant must provide the following particulars with the entry: full name, date of birth, email address, contact number.
  • All submissions must be sent by email to booktique@starhub.com with "Booktique Short Fiction Challenge" in the subject line.
  • Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
    • engaging plot
    • interesting characters
    • writing style
    • creative use of the picture
  • There are two categories in this competition: Junior Category (ages 13-17) and Adult Category (ages 18 and above)
PRIZES:

Three Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablets will be awarded for the top 3 entries in the Junior Category. Two Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 tablets will be awarded for the top 2 entries in the Adult Category.
