17 March 2011
Emirates Foundation Film and Literary Arts Grants Open Competition
Deadline: 15 September 2011

Visual, Film, Literary, and Performing Arts - Open Competition

Under this program, qualified Emiratis receive grants for the production of films, plays, short novels, art exhibitions and visual art to include paintings, installations, sculpture, video and digital art. The program also supports organizations with projects that advance these disciplines in the UAE, or enhance the visibility and creative accomplishments of Emiratis locally and internationally. Since 2008, Arts & Culture has made over 110 grant awards in this category to individuals and organizations across the UAE. While the maximum award is AED 100,000 for Emirati individuals and AED 400,000 for organizations, candidates improve their chances for funding by (a) presenting a cost-effective budget, and (b) demonstrating the availability of co-funding from other sources. Applications may be submitted throughout the year. Review committees meet approximately three times a year to review submitted applications.
