The Young Emirati Artists Grant Awards (includes literature)
Deadline: 15 April 2011

Young Emirati Artists: Young Artists Grant Awards (YAGA) New!!

The Emirates Foundation will assist a number of talented young Emiratis in the visual, literary, and performing arts to produce an original work of art in their field. Applicants under 35 years of age can compete for awards reviewed by an external committee. Fields include producing art, curating exhibitions, producing and directing plays and films, script writing, video art shorts and publishing short novels. These creative forms of expression strengthen national identity and provide opportunity for early career Emiratis to hone their talents and advance their careers. While the maximum award is AED 100,000, candidates improve their chances for funding by (a) presenting a cost-effective budget, and (b) demonstrating the availability of co-funding from other sources.
