Editorial Opportunities

Managing-Editor for State Travel Guides


We are looking for full time managing-editors who have a discerning eye for language, knowledge about various aspects of India (culture, folklore, economy, government, cuisine) and extensive travel experience. You will be leading the content development of a state guide under the guidance of the chief-editor. You should be self-initiated and able to work under tight deadlines, multi-task and coordinate between writers, assistant editors and designers. You must be willing to do extensive research of the region(s) you are covering to add more value and perspective to the content.

Requirements:

Fluent in English, proficient in Hindi

Write/edit in American-English

Minimum three years writing and/or editing experience; experience in travel or journalism is helpful

Strong team work, communication, organization and time management skills

Willing to relocate to Ahmedabad and travel as required

Assistant Editor

We are looking for full time assistant editors who will be organizing, writing, rewriting and editing travel and research content as well as verifying some information. You will be coordinating between travel writers and the managing editors to develop concise and meaningful content in the India Guide style. There will also be opportunity to research and write original content. You should be able to work under tight deadlines, multi-task and coordinate between writers, editors and designers. You must be willing to do extensive research of the region(s) you are covering to add more value and perspective to the content.
