Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP) Regional Secretariat

RESEARCH AND COMMUNICATION DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

I. QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be in an indigenous person from Asia
2. At least 3 years experience in communication development (use of information technology and production of popular information materials) preferably on indigenous /social issues
3. Excellent writing skills in English
4. Skilled in research coordination work
5. Familiar with indigenous issues
6. Highly creative and motivated
7. Committed to work with indigenous organizations

II. Main Tasks

Information Dissemination and Communication Development:

1. To coordinate the exchange of relevant information, media productions and other informational materials to AIPP members/partners
2. To initiate creative and innovative forms of information dissemination
3. To coordinate the production of the AIPP Annual Report, brochures and other publications ( lay-out, publication, distribution)
4. Make summaries of reports, articles etc. for web-posting and information dissemination; and
5. To systematize and maintain videos, music and photo archives of AIPP.

Research Coordination:

1. To initiate research activities of AIPP based on emerging critical issues, urgent concerns and priorities of members and networks;
2. To coordinate the research activities of AIPP with members and partners
3. To coordinate the editing, layout and publication of the research report.

Remuneration:

1. Minimum salary of Baht 25,000 (approximately 800.00 USD)
2. Housing and personal communication allowance
3. Health Insurance
4. Airfare for annual home visit
