Invitation to Media Reporters: Regional Consultations for the Philippine Youth Development Plan 2011-2016

The National Youth Commission (NYC) is pleased to announce that the Regional Consultations for the Philippine Youth Development Plan (PYDP) 2011-2016 is now underway.

The PYDP, formulated through secondary and primary data-gathering and research which is held every 5 years across all 17 regions of the country, provides an update on the profile of the Filipino youth – their prevailing values and attitudes in relation to their needs, aspirations, and problems. It is a companion document of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2011-2016.

The process of consultations, which started on June 28, 2011, is conducted in cooperation with various youth leaders, National Government Agencies, Local Government Units, and Non-Government Agencies. In line with this, the NYC is inviting all media representatives to cover the remaining consultations on the following dates and places:
  • August 1, 2011 NEDA 7 Conference Hall, Government Center, Sudlon, Lahug Cebu City
  • August 4-5, 2011 Casa Blanca Restaurant (Function Room), Sinsuat Highway, Cotabato City
  • August 8, 2011 Multi-Purpose Hall, University of Luzon, Perez Boulevard, Dagupan City
  • August 10, 2011 Multi-Purpose Hall, City Hall, Baguio City
  • August 15, 2011 TBA
  • August 18, 2011 Conference Hall, DepED Regional Office, Carig, Tuguegarao City
  • August 23-24, 2011 NYC Central Office, Quezon City
