Assembly Issue Two Short Fiction Contest
We’re now accepting submissions for our issue two short fiction contest. Anything goes, as long as it’s short(ish) and fictional. (Read the winning stories from our inaugural contest, Thirii Myint’s Jeff & Gene and David Odegard’s Darby, Virginia, on the site.)

Send work to submissions@assemblyjournal.com in an attached .doc file. Please include ‘Short Fiction Contest’ and your name in the subject line. In the body of your email please include a brief summary of your piece (50-word maximum) and list any other publications that are currently considering it. We will not consider previously published material.

All submissions due by August 1, 2010. Winners and runners-up will be awarded by September 1.
