GrassrootsNepal is looking for determined, energetic, devoted, skilled and sound-minded candidate in the position of Development & Communication Officer. GrassrootsNepal is working on the doorsteps of needy and disadvantaged people all over rural village of Nepal. Terai, Southern Part of Nepal is considered to be very disadvantaged location thus people living in this location has not many things as their basic needs in comparison to any other part of the Globe. GrassrootsNepal work and offer its services and support to the real grassroots people and there is no middle man.
The Position Development & Communication Officer is very challenging and interesting and this position offers a lot of opportunity to the candidate to learn first hand and gain experiences .
Qualification Requirement- Minimum Academic qualification should be Graduate (Bachelor) studying or completed in any discipline from any University.
Job Description & Responsibilities-
Development & Communication Officer will have flexible responsibilities such as assisting the CEO in handing the day day to task,Planing the strategic and action Plan, Implementation of ideas and work out ,field visit of ongoing projects, supervision,monitoring and evaluation of projects and personnel, Outreaching ,communication, Partnership with other individuals and Organizations, Organising events and coordinating meeting ,workshops & Seminars, Conducting Fundraising, researching the possible funding & Grants, Writing proposal and Reports, Website update and writing contents ,Writing enewsletter ,designing add banner, working with photographs, preparing Presentation Slides using PowerPoint , recruiting volunteers and making placement and offering orientation ,conducting press conference and writing news article draft , drafting letter and speech for the senior officials, ready to travel flexibly and ready to work from office Table as well as on the spot at any Projects,Handing with Index file and data management , Handling with Administrative and front desk work,
Special skills required- Computer, web design, photoshop, PowerPoint or any slide presentation , internet email,written & spoken English language, Quick learner of basic of new language, easy going and capable of adjusting in any culture and people,writing contents and Report in English, designing banner, advertising, creative ideas, politeness and open minded.
Length of Commitment - Minimum 5 months commitment is required though 1 year or above is prefered .
Salary /Stipend ( Facilities) - Air port Pick Up and Drop in form Kathmandu Airport. Salary /Stipend will be provided in terms of facilities such as housing, all meals and breakfast and snacks, local phone, internet, sightseeing,touristic activities, and so on. You will be rewarded with a Certificate of working Experiences at end of successful completion of committed duration.
Note- We do not bear any cost of flight or visa or any transportation. The candidate is responisble for air fare or any other personal expenses which are not included above.
