Deadline: 28 February 2013

The US Consulate General Karachi has announced a Short Story Contest in celebration of International Women's Day.

Be creative and imaginative and tell us how you think this photo depicts women’s empowerment. We invite you to write an original three-sentence story about the photo below. We will select five winners who will get a chance to bring a friend and be our guests at an upcoming event during women’s empowerment month! Please provide your email and mobile number when you submit your three sentence story to: karachinewmedia@state.gov. Deadline for submission is 28 Feb. Stories over three sentences or plagiarized will be disqualified.

Why are we doing this? March is women’s empowerment month and March 8th is international women’s day.
