Date: 22 - 24 February 2013
A book spine poem is easy to make. Take a titled book, place another titled book underneath it, and continue to do so until you make a phrase or verse that can be read from top to bottom. The result could be a witty one-liner, a naughty joke, a subtle social commentary, an inspiring thought or sheer poetry. Book spine poetry is inspired from the literary remix experiment by the American artist Nina Katchadourian and her sorted books project in 1993.
Venue: DC Books, Koramanagala, IV Block, near Wipro Park, Bangalore
The Book Spine Poetry Contest, the first of its kind in India, is organized by DC Books and Back to Books and will be held at DC Books, Bangalore.
