On April 13th, Brooklyn Poet Laureate Tina Chang and Cave Canem Fellow Ross Gay read from their work and engaged in a lively discussion of poetic craft at a Cave Canem's POETS ON CRAFT talk at Wolman Hall at The New School. Cave Canem's program and communications coordinator Camille Rankine served as the moderator.

Tina Chang is the author of the poetry collection Half-Lit Houses (Four Way Books, 2004) and co-editor of the anthology Language for a New Century: Contemporary Poetry from the Middle East, Asia and Beyond (W.W. Norton, 2008) along with Nathalie Handal and Ravi Shankar. Li-Young Lee calls her work "a poetry of amazing lushness, melancholy and affirmation."
