‘Simply enter your travel short story about Thailand with 250 words or less for a chance to win exclusive free nights’ accommodation in Phuket, Thailand and free other complimentary which runs from January until September 30th, 2011. Description of the Terms & Conditions for Contest
Application for the Amazing Thailand Short Story Contest (‘Competition’) is open to each individual traveler (‘Participant’). A ‘Participant’ is defined as an individual traveler who has experience traveling in any Thailand destination. Each Participant will share his/her traveling experience with a global audience via the travel short story on http://best-story.tourismthailand-middleast.org. The Competition will be organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Dubai & Middle East Office (TAT Dubai) and/ or the TAT Official organizer. The Contest process will operate as follows:
Period of Submission, The submission period to apply as a Participant begins on or around January 15th and end on September 15th, 2011.
The contest will be organizing in every 2 months as 4 times duration from begin on January 2011 until ends on September 2011 as below details:
The winning contestants (‘Winners’) will be notifies by the TAT Dubai via email as well as by an announcement posted on the website on or around every first week after each contest is closed.
Participant Eligibility:
* Contest is opens to Participants of any nationality who have reached the age of 18 yrs old by the time of application submission.
* All Participants are required to provide their true personal details (i.e. name, email, country of citizenship, gender, age, profession, and address) in order to facilitate demographics data collation and for voucher/ prize distribution, if any. Any invalid, untruthful, or incomplete entry will result in disqualification.
* All Contest criteria must be fulfilled. Failure to perform any criteria may render a submitted entry ineligible for voucher/ prize consideration.
* Travel Short Story is not limited to any number of submissions per Participant; individual Participant can submit multiple travel stories.
* Any Travel Short story that is not in English will not be considered.
* Any individual who has pleaded guilty to a crime or been convicted of a crime may be disqualified at the sole discretion of the TAT Dubai office.
* In order to enter, Participants are required to fill out the member registration forms or login if they have already registered and submit their travel short story.
* Each Applicant shall make full and honest disclosure of particulars as requested in the Competition. Any misrepresentation of any facts or particulars may result in disqualification, forfeiture or withdrawal of any prize won at the sole discretion of the TAT Dubai office.
Participation Instructions and Requirements of Submission:
* To Participate, visit the website during the Submission period at http://best-story.tourismthailand-middleast.org And completely fill out the member registration form and/ or login and submit travel short story.
* Each participant is required to be present in all processes and procedures of submission.
* Each participant will serve as primary contact for the TAT Dubai Office.
* Requirements of Submission:
o Each Participant must truthfully complete the online member registration form.
o Submission must be in English only.
o A travel short story must be related to Thailand travel destination. Each story must have 1 photo and video is not a submission mandatory.
o A travel short story must be 250 words or less and the content of story must comply in all other respects with the Rules and Regulations of the Competition.
o The participants will be required to publically show their travel short story online.
Restrictions on Travel Short Story Content:
o Submissions must NOT contain material that is (or promote activities that are) s3xually explicit, 0bscene, p0rnographic, violent, discriminatory (based on race, sex, religion, nationality, physical disability, s3xual orientation, or age), ill3gal, offensive, thr3atening, profane, or harassing.
o We encourage free content and defend everyone’s right to express unpopular points of view; however, we do NOT permit hate content (content which attacks or demeans a group based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, or s3xual orientation/ gender identity).
o Submissions should NOT include 3rd party trademarks, logos, insignias, location signage, photographs, artwork, or sculpture
o Submissions should NOT include 3rd parties/ people, who have not expressly authorized Submitting Participants to display their image, likeness, or content in the Submission or otherwise use such image, likeness or content in accordance with these guidelines. Third Parties include, but are not limited to, celebrities, non-consenting friends/ family members, and minors who have not obtained parental consent prior to such participation (which will be required in writing in the event that a Submission is selected for consideration).
o Submitting Participants must submit travel short story in accordance with these guidelines. No other method of submission will be accepted.

Selection and Notification of the Winners of the Amazing Thailand Short Story Contest:
* Submission will be judged by number of public vote and TAT Official committee.
* The voting period for selection of the Winners will be on duration month follows; March, May, July and September 2011.
* A Voter can vote for each story by click ‘Vote’ bottom. The 5 semi-winners must get the highest number of top 5 public votes and the semi-winners will be ranked as 1st to 5th (see How to Vote). And the TAT Official committee will be finally judged the last 1st winners from publically vote in the website.
* If the number of unique visitors or votes is a tie, the voting period will be extended for an additional twenty-four (24) hours.
* After registering/ logging in, voters may vote for one or many story (s). After voting, they will not be allowed to vote for the same story again.
* The voting will be conducted solely on the ‘Amazing Thailand Short Story Contest’ by website registered members during the voting periods.
* The Winners will be announced on, http://best-story.tourismthailand-middleast.org and will be contacted via email on or around very 7th after closed vote month to confirm eligibility and compliance with the Terms & Conditions.
* The Winners will be required to respond as directed by the TAT Dubai Office team to the notifications within given periods of time. Failure to respond timely to the notifications may result in forfeiture of the opportunity and, in such case, the TAT Dubai Office may declare an alternate Winner.
* Public voting mechanics and execution will be done at the sole discretion of the TAT Dubai Office.
* Decision (s) made by the TAT Dubai Office committee will be considered final for top 3 winners of the contest.
* Winner will receive their prizes through the mail within 30 days after the winners have reconfirmed their address and information a requested by TAT Dubai Office and/ or the TAT Official organizer. If any of the winners are discovered to have cheated or have done action that is against the given rules and regulations, and such discovery occurs either after or during the Contest, said participant will be disqualified from receiving their winning title and the prizes, and all such prizes will be awarded to the first runner-up participant.
