The web editor is responsible for content creation and maintenance on Joob.com. They research, create, and edit content ensuring to be compatibility with the company’s tonality and voice. They will work with the content strategy team to make sure all the content on Joob.com is appealing and useable to our customers. A perfect candidate will also have a solid understanding and experience with web writing, a flair for creativity, and is comfortable working with a dynamic cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities for this exciting and challenging position:
- Writes, edits, and copyedits online content in perfect English syntax and grammar.
- Assists in the creation and maintenance of the editorial calendar with the content strategy team.
- Manages the English content population with reference to Joob.com’s content strategy.
- Maintains live content ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Participates in brainstorming sessions for original topics that align to the editorial and promotional calendars.
- Develops editorial policies and best practices with the content strategy team.
The minimum requirements for this position:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Journalism.
- Exceptional command over the English language.
- 2-4 years’ experience in web writing.
- Solid understanding of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) techniques.
- Strong analytical and editorial skills.
- Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) is a plus.
- General knowledge of web technology and trends.
- Proven ability to deliver against aggressive deadlines.
- Diplomacy and grace under pressure.
- Proven multi-tasking capabilities.
- Passion for travel is an added value.
