To support our business development we are looking for an energetic person to join our advisory services team in the following position:

COMMUNICATIONS EDITOR/ TRANSLATOR

The successful candidate will work as part of an established team and have a wide range of responsibilities related to internal and external reporting and communications. These will include high quality translation as required, editing duties, assisting with communications among global teams (Including translating reports and proposals between English and Thai) and preparation of communiqués of various types. Note that this position does not relate to marketing or PR.

This position would be most suitable for someone with significant work experience in the fields of editing or translation, and requires a high degree of responsibility and very high standards of work. Complete fluency in written Thai and English is essential.

Candidates should possess some or all of the following qualifications. However, the position is open to truly outstanding candidates from other backgrounds with the necessary language skills who are looking for a significant career change and genuinely enthusiastic about the position.

* A bachelor’s (and preferably a master’s) degree in a business, language or education-related field – both business and non-business degrees preferred
* Enthusiastic and with a strong desire to develop existing skills
* Fluency in both English and Thai (written and spoken)
* Outstanding Thai and/or English writing skills and a love of words
* Solid computer skills and a wish to learn more
* Editing or translation experience at a high and challenging level
* At least 2 years of work experience in a corporate environment strongly preferred if no business degree, and at least 4 years’ work experience overall
* Understanding of business/ finance vocabulary preferred
