Acquisitions Editor

1.Establishes and maintains external relationships with content contributors to the company’s digitization projects, i.e., higher education institutions (HEIs), professional organizations, and publishers

2.Serves as company representative in the acquisition of journals, e-books, and other materials for digitization for inclusion in the computer-based or Web-based platforms of the company

3.Prepares and conducts project presentations for prospective content contributors and communicates with them the important features of the platform(s) the company uses for its digitization projects, highlighting the benefits contributors can gain from participating in C&E’s initiatives

4.Schedules and/or attends meetings with contributors to discuss the company’s projects and related business agreements

5.Participates in organizing company-sponsored conferences on the company’s digitization projects

6.Serves as the primary contact and support for content contributors

7.Guides content contributors in their participation in the digitization projects of the company and assists the E-Publishing Supervisor in addressing their requirements or requests

8.Keeps him/herself informed of important considerations of prospective content contributors in forging a mutually beneficial business agreement with the company, including those matters that may have an impact on the current situation or needs of existing contributors

9.Assists the E-Publishing Supervisor, or the person in charge, in coordinating with other staff with regard to the processing of sourced materials for digitization

10.Prepares and submits consolidated status reports of projects/tasks to the E-Publishing Supervisor on a regular basis

11.Performs other related functions that may be assigned by the E-Publishing Supervisor and the Senior Manager from time to time
