About the Job

You’re an editor by profession and a writer by heart. As an editor, you’re a grammar Nazi who winces when you hear the words “irregardless” and “mas better”. As a writer, you can write fresh and engaging articles on any topic, without sounding like a PR sales rep or putting people to sleep.

If you’re all of the above, young, and eager to learn, then we want you.

Responsibilities

· Be in charge of and edit the work of copywriters

· Train copywriters in grammar, punctuation and the many nuances of the English language

· Be able to step in the role of writer, and knock out content on a wide variety of topics and business industries

· Publish at least 8 high-quality articles within a day that follows internal standards

· Work in concert with an SEO team to ensure that work is SEO-optimized and meets keyword density requirements

Requirements

· Must be a college graduate of any course. A degree in Journalism, Advertising/Media or Mass Communications is preferred.

· Must have at least 2 years experience in writing. Those with experience in the role of editor (handling other writers) will be given priority.

· Must have experience in proofreading and editing other’s work, following a recognized standard such as AP or AMA styles.

· Ability to write for a US audience is a must, both formally (such as news stories) and casually (feature articles). This includes knowing American figures of speech, colloquialisms and pop culture.

· Internet-savvy, loves writing as a hobby and can work at a fast pace

· Willing to work in Makati City, on a permanent schedule (Tuesday to Saturday, 7 am to 4 pm)
