The Technical Writer will work with colleagues in Development & Product Management to write system and release documentation, which includes architecture documents, user manuals, administrator's guides, installation guides, and API manuals. The position will report to Development Manager

Brief Job Description

Closely working with senior technical writers, project leaders, financial engineers, and software developers, you will:

* Consult with product and development teams to gather technical information and identify and scope the documentation requirements

* Research on your own to build an understanding of the software product

* Write and format online help content

* Edit content produced by other technical writers

* Review software GUI messages and terms

* Attend product presentations and other training sessions

* Provide feedback on requirements, specifications, and design documents

* Conduct user task analysis

* Develop online help systems

* Contribute to in-house editorial guidelines and procedures

Qualifications

* Native or near-native fluency in English

* Can be a 'language coach' for the team

* Experience in developing end-user documentation

* Experience using screen capture and image editing applications

* Outstanding writing, editing, technical, and organizational skills

* Good reporting skills

* An inquisitive mind, able to analyze financial and technical specifications, and use the software to gain in-depth understanding of the product
