Rules & Regulations
1. This competition is open to all residents of Brunei Darussalam. Management and staff of Brunei Times Sdn. Bhd. are not allowed to participate in the competition.
2. This competition is divided into 3 categories:
Primary School:
Topic: What I Can Do For Brunei Darussalam
Essay to be no more than 200 words.
Secondary School:
Topic: Making Brunei Darussalam Cleaner and Greener
Essay to be no more than 400 words.
Topic: Brunei Darussalam And The Challenge Of Globalisation
Essay must be between 600-800 words.
3. Each essay must be submitted ONLINE using the form provided and a tracking number will be given for reference upon submission. Entries by postage will not be entertained.
4. All essay entries submitted for the purpose of this competition remain the property of the organiser who reserves the right to publish them.
5. The organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry that has been published previously by any person/persons. The organiser also reserves the right to disqualify any prize winner who does not own the sole copyright to his/her entry, and to recover the prize that has been awarded.
6. The decision of the organiser on the winning entries is final and no appeals would be considered. The list of winners will be publicised in The Brunei Times newspaper and website.
7. The closing date of the competition is 30 November 2010. Late entries will not be entertained.
