EDUCATION:

Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Education, English, Writing or Composition.

EXPERIENCE:

Experience coordinating a tutoring or writing center is highly preferred. Must have knowledge of disabilities and accommodations, under Section 504 and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Experience with tutoring, supplemental instruction, instructional technology and the teaching of writing at the college level, is preferred. Counseling experience is desirable, but not required.

OTHER:

Strong oral and written communication skills. Excellent leadership and organizational abilities. Good understanding of teaching-learning principles. Ability to work well with students in crisis and to perform faculty outreach.
