Online financial publication is seeking a freelance financial editor for website focused on international investing. Information relevant to retail investing in the US is the primary focus of the site. This includes coverage of foreign stocks/ADR's, ETF's and mutual funds and the political background that influences these investments.
Duties include
- Repackage, write and edit incoming articles
- Produce headlines and teasers that persuade audience
manage and publish writing within concepts of provided editorial framework
- Drive community/social networking elements including blogging, video content and interactive initiatives
- Monitor international news sources, and write timely and relevant repurposed content for the target demographic
- This role requires many hats: writer, editor, producer, and blogger
Ideal candidates will have:
- experience with online financial editing, market savvy and awareness of issues
- experience writing engaging headlines and web copy
- experience or background in international politics, finance and investing
- experience with content management systems
Part time leading to full time.
All work is web based, locale is not an issue.
