PhilPost On-the-Spot Letter Writing Contest Scheduled Today, November 10th

The Philippine Postal Corporation (PhilPost) and the Komisyon ng Wikang Filipino (KWF) urged the students in elementary and high school in Metro Manila to join the "On-The-Spot Letter Writing Contest" (Paligsahan sa Dagliang Pagsulat ng Liham) on November 10, 2010, 1:30PM at the east wing lobby of the Manila Central Post Office highlighting the 227th anniversary of the Philippine Postal Service.

The contest aims to support the government and the academe in improving the quality of learning among Filipino students especially the correct used of our national language.

The contest should be written in Filipino or any dialects in the country in letter form, and focused on one of the following: preserving the environment and how we can help in the effort to protect the environment, fight the effects of climate change, preservation and development of our national language and to stop the use of pop culture phenomenon called "Jejemon".

First prize winner will receive P5,000 ; Second prize- P3,000 and 3rd Prize- P2,000. All winners will be given certificate of recognition. For details and contest rules, please call the PhilPost Marketing Department at Tel. 527-0108 and 527-00-59 and look for Ms. Joy Cacho.
