THE PREMISE:
The Gildenhorn Institute for Israel Studies is sponsoring a contest for the best student paper on modern Israel written for an UM course during the Fall 2010 semester. The main subject of your paper should be sufficiently linked with Israel, though the topic is up to you. Therefore, it can be about Israel’s connection with economy/history/government/politics/business/art/media/ etc., as long as ISRAEL is the main theme!
THE PRIZE:
One first-place winner will receive one roundtrip airfare ticket to Israel.
HOW TO ENTER:
Papers must be between 3000 – 8000 words in length (including a bibliography). For consideration, papers must be emailed to: israelstudies-contact@umd.edu. All entries must be submitted by midnight EST on December 31, 2010.
