The Rockefeller - Bellagio Center Writers Residency is Now Open for Applications
(Note that recent fellows include Joel Toledo, a writer from the Philippines.)

The next deadline for the Bellagio Center competition for scholars and creative artists is December 1, for a possible residency between mid-August and November 30, 2011. The application process is now open.

Practitioner applications are accepted on a rolling admissions basis.

For residencies between February 1 and August 14, 2012, please apply by May 1, 2011.

Creative Artist Residencies
Artists, composers, writers

Bellagio creative artist residencies for composers, novelists, playwrights, poets, video/filmmakers and visual artists provide time for disciplined work, individual reflection, and collegial engagement, uninterrupted by the usual professional and personal demands. The Center typically offers one-month stays for no more than three to five creative artists at a time. Artists of significant achievement from any country are welcome to apply.
