ASIAN JOURNAL OF LITERATURE, CULTURE AND SOCIETY is an international peer-reviewed academic periodical which provides a forum for interdisciplinary discussion of issues related to East, South and Southeast Asian arts, cultures and societies. It is published twice a year in April and October by Assumption University Press.
The call for submissions for the next issue (due in April 2011) closes at the end of November 2010.
CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS:
We invite papers on Asia-related aspects in literature, language, literary criticism, film & media, theatre & performing arts, art & design, architecture, new media, cultures & societies, gender, race & ethnicity, popular culture, martial arts, religion, philosophy, ideology, semiotics, critical theory and any other forms of cultural expression. We also seek to publish the work of Asian scholars in the broadly understood area of arts and humanities.
INFORMATION FOR CONTRIBUTORS:
Complete manuscripts should be submitted to the Editor, both in electronic form and in a hard copy. Full-length articles (approx. 5000 words) should be formatted in accordance with the current MLA standards. Please contact the Editor should you wish to contribute to any other section of the journal.
