Come and write a story that’s waiting to be written. Explore your own voice, create an original story and take home the finished product, each a unique tale, no two stories the same.

Do you love interesting stories? Do you enjoy penning down your thoughts and ideas? Would you like to write your own story? Whether you are already a writer or not, at the Story Writing Workshop you will enjoy:
  • Exercising your imagination
  • Learning about the craft of writing in a supportive atmosphere
  • Working with other people who also enjoy writing.
  • Brainstorming story ideas
  • Exploring different aspects of writing
  • Crafting wonderful plots, creating engaging characters
  • Writing gripping beginnings and satisfying endings.
SKILLS THAT WILL BE HONED:
  • Brainstorming ideas, planning a story
  • Organising writing – developing a story using logical connections
  • Adding stylistic elements to writing
  • Editing and proof checking to improve syntax, punctuation and spelling
  • Critical thinking, especially during pre writing and editing stages of the writing process
  • Learning to accept feedback and using feedback to improve writing
  • Working in collaboration with others
WRITING WORKSHOP DETAILS
  • 7-10 year olds and 10-14 year olds (2 separate groups)
  • 18 March- 3 April
  • Days: Every Monday & Wednesday (Wednesday 27th March being Holi we will meet on 30th March)
  • Time: 4.30 – 6.00 pm
  • Fees: Rs.4,500 (Total 6 sessions)
