Everyone is Creative - Everyone Can Make Up a Story
A workshop with author David Bedford

Does your child like stories and have an interest in writing? This fun and dynamic workshop will introduce the basic structure of stories so they can turn their fertile imagination into well-shaped narratives. Each participant will develop their own story idea, and take home their own unique story outline and illustration, along with all the necessary practical skills for writing exciting stories.

David's workshop begins with a warm-up story, in which everyone can join in. Introductions are followed by a reading from David's book 'The Football Machine', the first in a series about a football-playing robot. David tells why he wrote the stories, and how he learned that writing about all kinds of sports really works. There will be plenty of time for children to ask questions, and following that, David will set a workshop for those taking part to design their own mechanical (and maybe sporty!) character to use in their own story.
David believes that everyone is creative, everyone can make up stories - and that making up stories is good for you! Come along to David's workshop to find out how to do it for yourselves, and have some fun too.

All supplies are provided. Each participant will get the first 2 books of ‘The Team’ Series signed by the author.
