Standard Chartered, Research Editor with a cross-asset focus on equity, fixed income and macroeconomic research.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensuring that reports are clear, consistent and free of typographical and grammatical errors, and adhere to house style. This may range from basic proofreading to extensive rewriting (many of the analysts are non-native English speakers). Coordinating closely with an international team of analysts and editors to ensure efficient workflow. Checking for factual consistency and adherence to compliance standards. Closely following and enforcing publication processes. The role will have a primary focus on Equity Research (serving a team of c.50analysts in Hong Kong, Singapore and other Asian centres), but will also serve the FICC/Regional Research team (c.65 analysts in Hong Kong, Singapore, China, India, Korea, Thailand, London, Dubai and New York).
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Several years' experience as a research editor with a major bank preferred (equity and/or FICC/macroeconomic research). Highly advanced English editing, writing and communication skills. Ability to prioritise competing tasks, manage time and meet tight deadlines, with limited direct supervision. Meticulous attention to detail. Strong cross-cultural communication skills.
