THE ROLE: Bloomberg View, the new opinion section of Bloomberg News, is seeking an experienced writer and editor with extensive knowledge of Asia and opinion journalism to join the editorial board. This person will write and edit editorials about economic and political developments within the region; he or she will also commission opinion articles by outside writers and work with regular columnists. The ability to cooperate with colleagues in the United States and Europe is a requirement.

- Must be based in Asia
- Fluency in English is a must.
- 7+ years working in opinion journalism.
- Substantial experience writing and editing pieces under deadline pressure.
- Extensive knowledge of global financial markets and international politics.
- Deep understanding of Asian politics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Wordpress.
- Knowledge of the Bloomberg terminal, a big plus.
- Fluency in local languages, also a plus.
