We are looking for a talented market editor to oversee FX Buzz, our new market intelligence and analysis service. FX is at the heart of the Thomson Reuters financial desktop franchise. FX Buzz focuses on giving real-time market flows, chart technicals, rumors and commentary along with original graphics. We are looking for a talented team leader who can spot the key news and market moves to ensure FX Buzz stays ahead of the competition. We need someone who can commission commentaries and trade ideas, edit technical market content and jump in to do coverage from time to time. We need a strong team player who can coordinate with FX analysts - from the Dealing Room and IFR Markets - across the region and in other parts of the world. The successful candidate will be someone who can bring ideas and energy to our product as we connect dots across the markets.
ESSENTIAL DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead FX Buzz team and coordination with IFR Markets FX analysts across the region
- Drive real-time FX reporting and analysis under pressure
- Track news of interest to FX market and give insight on breaking news
- Work with journalists/analysts for incisive, ahead-of-the-curve commentaries
- Work with analysts to do original trade ideas and track their performance
- Create and edit smart charts that tell a story
- Write original commentaries and make important cross-market connections quickly
- Coordinate with the regional FX desktop business
- Oversee the Dealing Room FX community during Asia hours.

- Solid knowledge of technical analysis
- Good writing and editing skills
- Strong understanding of FX client needs, both sell side and buy side
- Thorough understanding of Eikon and charting functions
- Basic knowledge of Excel functions and charting.
