All circling around the Fantasy theme, Wena Poon, Jason Erik Lunberg, and Stephanie Ye will each be reading a piece from their writings --
WENA POON began writing novels from an early age. Her first book, Lions In Winter, was published in December 2007 (MPH Malaysia). It was nominated for both the Frank O’Connor award in Ireland and the Singapore Literature Prize, and was published in a new edition by Salt (UK). Her second book, The Proper Care of Foxes, was published in October 2009 (Ethos Books Singapore) and was nominated for the same prizes. In 2010, she won the UK’s Willesden Herald Short Story Award and was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize in Poetry.
Stephanie Ye’s short stories have been published in the Quarterly Literary Review of Singapore, Ceriph (Singapore), Mascara Literary Review (Australia) and Sci-Fi Short-Story Magazine (USA), as well as the anthology Coast (Singapore). Born in 1982, she is a graduate of the University of Chicago. Stephanie will be publishing a chapbook, The Billion Shop, with Math Paper Press under our running Babette's Feast series on 10th March.
