JointMedia News Service (www.jns.org) is an independent, objective wire service that will provide international and national news and features to primarily Jewish print and electronic media throughout the United States starting in September.

JNS seeks freelance journalists to cover Jewish news in the following content areas:

- Features/human interest
- Arts/culture
- Food
- Photography
- Travel
- Hard news/politics
- Book reviews
- Torah commentary
- Wedding, bar/bat mitzvah, holiday and other special section content
- Other creative ideas you have for national Jewish coverage!

We are looking for motivated self-starters who can pitch their own story ideas and topics, but are also willing to take direction and specific assignments as needed.

All interested journalists should respond to this post with a resume and 3-5 published writing samples.

Location: U.S.

Compensation: Competitive per article rate
