A very special poetic debut starring poets and editors, Craig Santos Perez and Brandy Nalani Mcdougall!

Brandy Nalani Mcdougall is the author of 'The Salt-Wind: Ka Makani Pa'Akai' and edited the anthology, Effigies: An Anthology of New Indigenous Writing, Pacific Rim, 2009. She is assistant professor in American Studies at the University of Hawaii.

Craig Santos Perez is the author of several poetry collections, his most recent, 'from unincorporated territory [saina]' was published in 2010 and nominated by the Los Angeles Times Book Prize for poetry. He is assistant professor in English at the University of Hawaii.

Janine Oshiro is the 2010 winner of the Kundiman Poetry Prize. Her collection 'Pier' will be published by Alice James Books this September. She is a Kundiman fellow and teaches at Windward Community College.

Margaret Rhee's chapbook of poetry, "Yellow/노란/노랑/Yellow will be released as part of Tinfish Press's Retro Chapbook series August 2010. She co-edited 'Here is a Pen' An Anthology of West Coast Kundiman Poets, with poets Ching-In Chen and Debbie Yee published by Achiote Press in 2009. She is a doctoral student in Ethnic Studies with designated emphasis in New Media and Gender Studies at the University of California Berkeley.
