Featured Poem: The Wandering Wisdom by Achla Grover
Hey you—
pompously anchored
smokestack crown,
with a low-lying
bulbous bow,
are you a wayfarer?
Or
did you plainly steer
away?
I strongly feel
you secretly planned
an elope.

Fashionably,
you adorn a tattoo
well, it’s bold
and loud.
I wonder who
gave you
these words of
W I S D O M?

You must be interesting
at heart
with metal-lined
long shiny corridors,
a warm fire place,
and a soft corner
for your guardian, who,
you quietly left behind,
while wandering
on the map.

How do you feel this side
of my quiet town?
Though you speak a little
less of yourself
I tell you, you
stole the front page,
pulled the crowd,
made me ponder
over my grades,
the Archimedes principle,
and his so discovered
buoyancy details.

My dear guest
do you see—
you gifted
a few lives
to the deep grey waters
driven in lust,
for a short-lived fame.

Boasting
innumerable flashes
a few
wonder-struck faces
I see,
this everyday grey shore
has come to life.

Note: WISDOM here is referred to the ship that wandered and landed accidentally at Mumbai's Juhu beach
