BWL Writing Workshop
June 6, 7 and 8. 10am - 5pm.
Bukit Merah Library
(Meetup at 9.50am at the library entrance on first day)

Age: 13 and above

Theme: Superheroes Origins

Highlights:

- Identify the most striking features of your character through a study of comic book heroes.

- Learn how the setting of the hero's home planet (e.g. Krypton) or base (e.g. the Batcave) can give your character an edge.

- Give your storyline added depth by exploring the heroes' relationships and motivations from their past.

- Learn how other writers 'cheat' to produce a bestseller.

What you get at the end:

- A BWL certificate

- A showcase spot on our Web Portal.

- A chance to be part of a growing community of Budding Writers through our regular updates and activities.

- Meet a real comic artist who will give you an industry insight to the world of superheroes.

- A chance to be one of the selected contributors for The BWL Anthology of Short Fiction 2011 (to be published end 2011)

Contributors will get royalties from sales of the book, as well as a place in BWL history.

Please bring: Your writing materials or laptop (if you prefer to type instead), songs/music that inspire you (every superhero needs a good soundtrack).
