The Role

Bloomberg Japanese TV is seeking an enthusiastic candidate with a strong interest in
financial news. This role involves all elements of show production such as script writing and video material processing. The successful candidate will be working closely with editors and reporters to write stories on companies, the markets and the economy for Bloomberg television. News and editorial judgment are required in addition to writing skills. The candidate must be able to make quick decisions in a real-time news environment and thrive under pressure. Knowledge of Asia is a plus. The candidate should show enthusiasm for news and creative ideas for production. Previous experience gained within a newsroom is desirable, ideally within a broadcast environment.

Qualifications

- 2 years or more experience in broadcast journalism is preferred
- Strong interest in financial and business news
- Excellent writing skills in Japanese and news judgment
- Audio and/or video editing skills is a plus
- Familiarity of Japanese markets is a plus
- Fluency in English and Japanese is a must
