THE Penang Government has invited journalists to submit articles for the environmental journalism award which offers cash prizes of up to RM3,000 for winning entries.
State Health, Welfare, Caring Society and Environment Committee chairman Phee Boon Poh said the contest was open to all journalists in the mainstream and alternative media.
The closing date is April 15 next year.
Those interested must submit a published article on environmental issues while those in the alternative media such as online news portals must submit their entries via compact discs, Phee said.
The alternative media journalists must save their entries in the ‘pdf’ format, he added.
