Asian Food manufacturer is looking for a Food Writer (Web Based) to write copy for multiple food company Websites consisting of five different brands and other Marketing/PR materials. This is a staff position onsite in Brooklyn.
Job Description
- Accountability for the development of content for all Website and other marketing efforts. He/She will partner with our Web designer, R&D team and other leaders in the company to develop the copy content.
- Create product and promotional copy for all Website and other marketing efforts, including online marketing efforts, PR releases, promotional copy, etc.
- Ensure editorial content is written and presented in a format that meets Web format and standards, and is consistent with company information and design guidelines including brand image.
- Research and information gathering (facts) used in copy for the Website and other marketing efforts.
Ideally, the Food Writer will possess the following attributes:
- Experience with Website writing and editing skills, including detailed product description and promotional copy.
- Knowledge of Web formats and common practices.
- Strong organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks while still meeting the strictest deadlines.
- Ability to thrive in a challenging and collaborative work environment.
- A "foodie" who loves food, tastes, flavors and cooking.
- Advanced presentation skills with the ability to be persuasive and captivating.
- Ability to interview, research, gather and verify facts.
- Ability to work independently, “take the ball and run with it”.
- The flexibility to adapt in a quick shifting, entrepreneurial environment.
Additional Requirements:
- BA in English, Writing, Communications or Journalism.
- A strong command of the English language. Chinese speaking is a big plus (Mandarin/Cantonese).
