Publishers Writers Network (PWN): A Talk on Self Publishing
The Singapore Writers Centre, set up by the National Book Development Council and supported by the National Arts Council, aims to be a resource and networking hub where the writing community in Singapore can gain access to a myriad of services and resources tailored to their special needs. E-books, readers and other advancements in technology have forever changed the publishing landscape making it possible for all authors to publish their work. As a result, 76% of all books published are now produced by authors independent of a publishing house. Speaker:
Leigh K Cunningham is a lawyer with a career as a senior executive for various public companies in her home country of Australia. She has three master's degrees in law, commerce and an MBA. As the author of two published children's books and with two adult fiction works in progress, Leigh aims to help other independent authors through her role as Executive Director of the Association of Independent Authors.
