We have an immediate opening for the following position in our Kuala Lumpur office:
ONLINE CONTENT EDITOR (Kuala Lumpur)
Role:
To manage the information on The Asian Banker’s written communications, including;
* The Asian Banker publication
* websites listed at www.theasianbanker.com
* e-newsletters and other email communications
Key Duties:
* Editing, uploading, managing and performing quality checks on all web text, including web content, video content, e-newsletters and electronic brochures, across The Asian Banker’s research, publications and forums divisions.
* Researching bank developments and compiling news sheets
* Monitoring production schedules for individual products and impose them across the division, revising as necessary, to ensure that all products within the portfolio are produced to schedule.
* Maintaining and developing production, pre-press and peripheral skills and knowledge to ensure that print projects are delivered on time.
* Identifying and correcting issues of clarity, conciseness and grammatical correctness based on English grammar and required writing styles.
* Comprehending reference material and grasping subject matter to suggest changes in content, if required.
* Editing images and converting content to other formats for online use.
* Maintaining integrity of computer systems and data.
* Participating in web development projects.
* Communicating with external providers on content.
* Monitoring other websites for media trends.
* Working to develop new site features.
Requirements:
* Good written and oral communication skill, have the ability tocoordinate range of online content in an interesting and engaging manner and totarget style to different audiences.
* Excellent knowledge of English, sub-editing skills for online content and attention to detail.
* Ability to create accurate, relevant and informative communication content and materials.
* At least two years of similar editorial work knowledge and experience.
* Knowledge of the financial services industry a benefit.
