HUMPED MAG invites photographers, creatives, researchers from all across India to collaborate on a new magazine about creativity, culture and conversations emerging from the Indian subcultures.
HOW IT WORKS? :
Every four months we announce a theme and challenge creatives, artists and researchers from across the country to interpret the theme and highlight untold stories and expressions related to it. At the end of which we collate, analyze, interpret and design a 100 page book-a-zine, designed as a collectors edition, featuring some of the most stimulating content submitted.
THEME - PL3ASURE
From a culture that was more preoccupied with the past and the future, and a background where denial of pleasure was considered noteworthy, India today is fully living in the “now”. Increasingly, Indians are reflecting an intense urge to milk maximum happiness from each living moment.
We have divided the theme into some sub-categories to get you going.. ( these are merely suggestions)
- Defining Pl3asure
( What is it? How is it? Why is it?)
- Denial of Pl3asure
( When you are not allowed access to it.. dieting? social taboos? etc..)
- Absence of Pl3asure
( When one doesn't have access to it at all.. )
- Pursuit of Pl3asure
( the things we do to attain pleasure.. )
- Business of Pl3asure
( Selling pl3asure for money.. prostituti0n.. Candy? weight loss? ..)
- Objects of Pl3asure
( Anything from dild0s.. to childhood t0ys.. to gadgets.)
- Elation of Pl3asure
( The high point that we all strive for.. the fleeting moment of bliss)
- Excess of Pl3asure
( As awesome as it is, things go different with too much.. addicti0n)
- After Pl3asure
( whats life like after pl3asure? or that high.. after that 0rgasm? )
