Role:
To assist the business editor in setting the business news agenda for Gulf News, managing and assigning and briefing reporters, editing local copy, ensuring they are clear, easy to read and legally compliant and getting it ready for production.
To write, news, features and special reports to the business section
To train and mentor reporters
KPI:
* Relevance, quantity and quality of business content produced by staff
* Effective management of the news reporters
* Relevance, quality and quantity of published articles.
Skills and knowledge:
* Strong knowledge of local and international business and economy
* Strong writing and editing skills
* An ability to effectively manage reporters
