EDITOR QUALIFICATIONS (EDITORIAL DIV.)
We’re looking for an EDITOR with strong journalistic background, JOIN WITH US!
REQUIREMENTS:
• Male/Female
• A bachelor degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least 1 year experience as a professional editor and/or proofreader, with meticulous talent to detect errors in spelling, punctuation and syntax, as well as prepare, rewrite and edit articles to improve readability.
• Have the ability to express ideas clearly in writing, to develop story or content ideas, considering reader or audience appeal.
• Have good judgment, creativity, self motivation and curiosity.
• Have the ability to meet deadlines and excellent time-management skills.
• Have some management and/or planning experience to assist with contents planning according to the publication’s style, editorial policy, and publishing requirements.
• Some knowledge in photography and graphic design would be an advantage.
• Familiarity with the following software:
• Microsoft Office 2007 (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint).
• Adobe Acrobat Standard (or higher).
• Familiarity with photo-processing and design software would be an advantage.
