Explore Our World Writing Contest

There are places in this world left untraveled by many of us, places most of us won’t get the opportunity to see or experience. As a result, we’re missing the opportunity to explore different cultures, to walk among the people who take great pride in their country or town, but we can visit these places within the pages of a book.

Writers, we want you to take us to those places through the written word. Introduce us to a country, an island, or a little known place. The setting doesn’t necessarily have to be a country we’ve never heard of, but it should be in an area of the country that gets little attention and has definitely been used rarely, if ever, in books.

Official Rules

To submit, download our entry form (here) and e-mail it along with your entry in its entirety to whisperspromotions @ gmail.com.(without the spaces)

Any genre of stories will be accepted except science fiction. The story must share information about the country, its citizens, and its way of life in a creative way without information dumps. Educate and entertain us simultaneously.

Any heat level is accepted. Erotica should be notated on the entry form.

Entries shall consist of a pdf version of entrant’s complete story without any names or identifying markers.

Entries should be in standard manuscript format: one inch margins all around, line spacing at 1.5, and Arial font only.

In the header on each page, include title, genre, and page number.

Your name must not appear on any manuscript page. Your name may only appear on the entry form. If author’s name(s) appear on the entry pages, the entry will be disqualified.
