Job Title: Managing Editor

Job Description/ Requirement

In line with expansion Routledge, Taylor & Francis (Journals) is seeking a Managing Editor to manage and develop a group of regional journals across the Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities portfolio.

Candidates should be educated to graduate level or equivalent and with experince in academic journal publishing. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a willingness to work with confidence, flexibility, initiative and independence while playing an integral role in a professional publishing team.

Familiarity with, and an awareness of, academic editors' and societies' needs in their publishing activities will be an advantage.

Responsibilities:

* Management and development of the existing portfolio of journals
* Assisting with new journal proposals and bids
* Liaising with journal editors, academic society officers and colleagues across the Taylor & Francis Group
* Hosting editorial meetings and presenting reports
* Travel to conferences in the region
* Providing appropriate cover in the Publisher's absence
