Albawaba News is looking for an individual with perfect spoken and written English, as well as a background in new media and journalism.
Good spoken Arabic would be a benefit, but is not an absolute requirement.
The position will involve the editorial and managerial oversight of our news team, including but not limited to:
• Maintenance of a news website using syndicated content from across the Arab
World, as well as commissioned writing from our dedicated writing staff
• The use of multimedia such as video, slideshows, and audio
• The ability to work on content channels – such as sport and comedy – as well as regional channels, such as a “UAE”, “Egypt” or “Jordan” page, each with specific local content
• The ability to build a news team capable of updating and shaping the future of the site in a creative and entertaining manner

• A strong background in journalism or publishing
• A good knowledge of social media, and the regional media environment
• A member in, or knowledge of, the blogging community
• An interest in technology
• A good university degree and formal qualifications
• Collaborative and hard-working
• 3-4 years experience
