A leading provider of quality subtitling, closed captioning and translation services for major Hollywood studios, broadcast and cable networks.
Main Duties:
- Creating, Editing and Prooffreading English subtitles of major Hollywood films.
- Footnoting cultural references and expressions as an aid to translators.
- Performing audio fidelity checks to ensure subtitles match the audio.
- Localizing language and spelling for British-and U.S.- English releases.
- Quality checks on Translations.
Requirements:
- Education, Experience and Comeptencies:
- Graduates in English, Communicative English, Literature or Journalism.
- 1-2 years of work experience / Freshers are welcome.
- Exceptional audio sensitivity to American and British accents.
- Proven written English & proofreading skills ( Transcription experience a plus ).
- Excellent knowledge of English Grammer and punctuation rules.
- Knowledge of American Pop culture a plus.
- Detail oriented with mastery of Microsoft Office.
- Average typing speed ( around 35-40 words per minute ).
- Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
