Description: The Chommarnard Book Prize for Non-Fiction is the most prestigious book prize in Thailand for non-fiction authors and writers aimed at representing and recognising the country’s elite female literary talent. Through this competition, the Peaphansarn Publishing is able to unearth emerging authors as well as provide a platform for women writers who are often under represented in the region. The Chommarnard Book Prize for Non-Fiction is awarded to Thai women who, in the opinion of the judges, has written the best, eligible full-length book in English. The award is designed to assist writers who have the opportunity to get their works published and act as a forum for Thai authors in particular to express themselves in the written form. The content should be a true story of real events, with a preference for popular non-fiction. Historical non-fiction is accepted too, with a preference for contemporary events from the last 60 years. Travel, autobiographical or biographical works are also all accepted.
