Reply to: gigs-j2mzy-2082311529@craigslist.org

Nationally-distributed publishing house seeking college or post-graduate student majoring in writing degree program interested in assisting on the research AND WRITING of a book which explores both the Viet Nam era and late 60s/early 70s Mafia in relation to veterans coming back to inner cities with few employment opportunities but to go into a life of crime for which their war experience was ironically perfect training. ALL interviews will be conducted first hand, no anonymous sources, and while the book is factual in its presentation, no side is glorified or condemned one way or another. This study seeks to take a neutral narrative position where the latter is concerned.

The selected candidate will receive a published credit as co-author on the project (which will hit stores sometime in the fall of 2011), and will be working with a writer with 25+ published books, so its a great opportunity for exposure in the publishing world. The book will be aggressively promoted upon release as well. Please email with a resume and writing samples, be prepared to devote at least 6 hours a week to the project, and if you need this to fit within an Independent Study or similar class credit scenario, we can work with that, but please understand that ALL content will remain 100% property of publisher, though we are flexible on allowing some research material to be utilitized for a thesis, etc, if required. Back-end compensation will be laid out in writing, but there IS NO UP FRONT COMPENSATION, so please be 100% clear on that detail and able to work within that framework. Hope everyone had a great holiday!

Location: Anywhere

Compensation: To Be Discussed individually with applicants
